I am interested in compiling a range of information to facilitate study of Angola, with a priority on scholarship by Angolans, in Angola, and geared around contributions to practical challenges in Angola. Compiling information is important because it has often been dispersed due to the history of colonial war, the turbulent independence transition, and post-independence conflict. In particular, I am interested in histories in areas outside of Luanda (but connected to it), the Kimbundu language, agrarian and rural histories, the history of maps and cartography in Angola, and the detailed colonial and post-colonial legal gazette as an archive.
