Maps & Mapping

I have become more interested in maps and the practice of mapping in relation to state formation and agrarian change. Some of these dynamics can be analyzed through this page of maps of Angola and Africa. Understanding these maps in relation to the mapping of Angola is important. Cartography in Angola should also been seen in relation to the broader histories of maps and mapping in Africa in which power, imperialism, and colonialism are key but not entirely determining.
